Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Charlotte, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across North Carolina run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Charlotte follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Our first experience at Uchi was OUTSTANDING! We chose the 7 course tasting menu and paired it with delicious cocktails! Gina was our server and she, plus the entire staff, was so friendly and knowledgeable. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and seated for reservations immediately. Our cocktails and food all arrived in a timely fashion. The attention to detail in every aspect was noticeable and appreciated. We will DEFINITELY be back

Perfect restaurant that checks all the boxes! Food was amazing! Flavorful & Unique. Server was awesome and took several minutes to explain the menu to me as Iβm very new to the Sushi World! The atmosphere was gorgeous! I loved the background music , loud enough for you to hear, but not overpowering! I would definitely come back.

My lordβ¦ Uchi absolutely lived up to the hype. This was hands down some of the best service Iβve had in Charlotte. Our server, AβLonna, was an absolute rockstarβfun, knowledgeable, accommodating, and just had the best energy. She made us feel so welcome and guided us through the menu without ever being pushy. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Light wood, clean lines, a cool modern vibeβ¦ and next time Iβm definitely grabbing a seat at the bar. Now letβs talk about the foodβ¦ WOW. Every single dish had so much thought behind it. Complex flavors, beautiful presentation, and some of the freshest fish Iβve had in Charlotte. Standouts for me:β¨β’ Blue crab California maki β so much flavor.β¨β’ Tuna crispy rice β little bites of heaven.β¨β’ Brussels sprouts β perfectly cooked with incredible flavor.β¨β’ Spicy crunchy roll β fresh, crunchy, and delicious.β¨β’ Maguro (bigeye tuna) β thick, buttery slices that melted in my mouth.β¨β’ Hama chili yellowtail β bright, citrusy, with just the right amount of heat.β¨β’ Banana cake β light, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to the meal. Is it expensive? Yep. Are the portions small? Also yep. But you know that before you walk in the door. Youβre paying

βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ (If I could give 6 stars, I would!) From the moment we walked in and were warmly welcomed, we knew we were in for a great experience. The service set the tone for an incredible meal from start to finish. We started with the crispy rice tuna and hamachi appetizers, and both were outstanding. For sushi, we tried an assortment of bites, and some of our favorite surprises were the eggplant and avocado selectionsβthey were unexpectedly delicious and packed with flavor. The fried chicken dish was another standout and quickly became one of our favorite items of the night. To top it all off, dessert was absolutely amazing and the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. This was one of the best sushi experiences weβve had, and we canβt wait to come back! π£β¨
